Chakk or Oil Press
Chakk is used for crushing or squeezing oil-bearing seeds like coconut, sesame seeds and castor seeds. The seeds are stamped and pressed to extract the oil. Chakk has a lower stone made of granite with a depression at the centre, a miller and a runner made of wood. The miller and runner of this Chakk are missing. The Chakks are normally driven by bullocks.
